Renault has revealed the first pictures of its seven-seater multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) Lodgy which is expected to be launched in India in early 2015.
The vehicle is sold under Dacia brand around the world, but in India it will be re-badged as Renault Lodgy, reported NDTV Auto.
It will be powered by 1.5-litre diesel engine with maximum power output of 85bhp.
According to reports, the Indian version of the vehicle will have updated engine and other features, and is expected to compete with Honda Mobilio and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
Yahoo News cited Renault India CEO Sumit Sawhney as saying: "Renault's focus in 2015 will be on introducing two new products in very exciting segments - the MPV and the A-entry segment, which is the heart of the Indian automotive industry.
"We have a long-term focus on the market and are working towards achieving a five per cent market share in the medium period, within the next three years.
"This will be done both by launching new vehicles as well as expanding our dealer network."
