Porsche Cars North America has broken ground on its new headquarters in Atlanta,Georgia.
The new headquarters,to be known as One Porsche Drive,will be developed on a 26.4-acre site located near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
Upon its completion in the second half of 2014,most of Porsche's North American operations will be consolidated under one roof.
The facility will feature a technical service and training center,a conference center,a museum and a customer experience center including a 1.6-mile test track as well as handling road course to showcase the capabilities of Porsche's vehicles.
Porsche president and CEO Matthias Mueller said that the company has been present in Atlanta and the state of Georgia for the last 14 years.
"We're happy to reciprocate the sentiment with this new facility,which contributes to the state's economic development and also adds a bit of glamor to the local community,"Mueller said.
