China-based Horen Plastics has joined the Reusable Packaging Association (RPA) as the newest international member, bringing the total number of members headquartered outside the country to ten.
RPA, which is focused on promoting the reusables expansion as the preferred packaging solution across supply chains in all industries, is a collaborative effort between manufacturers, poolers, distributors, retailers and educators to promote the environmental safety and economic benefits of reusable packaging.
RPA president Jerry Welcome said: "Companies worldwide recognize the value of being associated with the Reusable Packaging Association, the authoritative voice of the reusables industry. Membership gives them added credibility in the US market.
"And the association benefits by learning about their experiences with reusables in different countries. Our international companies are important and valued members of the RPA."
Horen Plastics international sales manager Travis Teague said: "We are focusing on building our business in the American market in 2015. Membership in the RPA will help us move into the market quickly and effectively."
Employing over 200 people, Horen Plastics designs, develops, and produces innovative and smart returnable transport packaging solutions to help its customers achieve zero waste and zero loss.
