Pelican Products, a portfolio company of Behrman Capital has acquired Minnesota Thermal Science (MTS), which provides temperature controlled packaging products, for an undisclosed value.
The acquisition will see the US-based MTS become part of Pelican's BioPharma division.
Besides Pelican BioPharma cases, customers will have access to the full range of MTS products including the reusable Credo Cube, which protects payload contents at defined temperatures.
Pelican president and CEO Lyndon Faulkner said the acquisition of MTS will bolster the company's current customer base, distribution channels and engineering expertise in the industries including pharma and life science.
"BioPharma now offers an unmatched range of the most advanced temperature controlled packaging solutions, and we are already planning an accelerated product development program that will further enhance our solution set and associated cold chain services," Faulkner said.
Pelican Products designs and manufactures case solutions as well as advanced portable lighting systems.
