Prince Edward Island (P.E.I) Brewing Company is planning to expand its market in Atlantic Canada using $2.14m loan from the Prince Edward Island government in Canada.
The brewery has also raised $500,000 loan from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency. The company is expending $220,000 as part of expansion.
P.E.I. Brewing Company president Jeff Squires was quoted by CBC News as saying that the company has been exporting for the last year into New Brunswick, Canada.
"Hopefully this year we'll be into Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and continue to put great P.E.I. beer products into the marketplace," Squires added.
The expanded brewery is expected to open in May 2013 and add 25 new jobs.
