Swiss chocolate company Lindt & Sprungli is recalling one product lot of its 6.4oz Chocolate Covered Raisin Bags and 6.4oz Chocolate Covered Almond Bags over concerns of the potential presence of undeclared hazelnuts.
The company has sold the products in nine Lindt Chocolate Shop locations in the US between 23 January and 16 March 2015.
Lindt said people with allergy to hazelnuts will run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the affected products.
The products include Chocolate Covered Raisin bag with a lot code L2975 and a best before date of 4-30-2015; and Chocolate Covered Almond bag with a lot code of L2975 and a best before date of 4-30-2015.
The lot codes beginning with the letter 'L' can be seen on a white sticker placed on the back of the bag.
Lindt discovered that a limited number of bags of these two products were mistakenly labelled and may contain hazelnuts.
