Ford has received fleet order for 800 low-roof, regular-wheelbase Ford Transit vans from Charter Communications.
Charter plans to use the vans for its technicians who will use the vehicles to transport equipment and provide services including installation of TV, phone, and internet.
The 2015 Ford Transit van is powered by fuel efficient 3.7-liter V6 engine and it provides smooth handling, light turning radius and panoramic windshield view.
The van has plenty of cargo space which makes it apt for fleet operations.
Ford North American Fleet director Kevin Koswick said: "Charter Communications' choice of the low-roof-model Ford Transit allows its installers the ability to maneuver in tight parking spaces and garages, while offering almost 56 inches of cargo height with rear cargo doors that open up to 180 degrees for easy loading and unloading."
With the new fleet order Charter has become the first company to give a bulk fleet order of the 2015 Ford Transit.
