US-based food company Campbell Soup has unveiled a new line of Alfredo sauces under its Prego brand.
The new Alfredo sauces complement the company's existing line of Prego Italian sauces and offer a flavor combination. The new varieties Prego Homestyle Alfredo, Prego Flavored With Savory Bacon and Prego Artisan Three Cheese.
Campbell Soup Simple Meals vice president Dale Clemiss said that the new Alfredo sauces are a natural next step for a brand that has been providing Americans with delicious Italian sauces for more than 30 years.
"We know shoppers have a choice in the pasta sauce aisle, and we're confident that our Alfredo sauces will inspire them to discover something new with the promise of great taste, rich flavors and distinctive ingredients," Clemiss added.
Campbell suggested pairing of the new sauces with favorite pasta for a quick and satisfying meal.
The new Prego Alfredo sauces are available at Wal-Mart and Target stores across the US for a suggested retail price of $2.59. National distribution is expected by October 2013.
