A few weeks ago, the ground-breaking ceremony of project of steel-making plant of Baosteel Zhanjiang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. was held in the Dongshan island, Zhanjiang. It means that the project of steel-making plant of Zhanjiang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. goes up on the stage officially. It is scheduled to build 3 sets of converters with 350 tons, 5 sets of refining equipment outside the furnace, 3 sets of main facilities for stirring and desulfurization and its auxiliary facilities. The entire steel-making plant will be integrated by Baosteel independently, and Baosteel Engineering & Technology Group is the entity in charge of integration of steel-making plant independently. In addition, in this project, it upholds the ideology of operation in aspects of "simplified, high efficient, low cost", it is requested to meet production requirements in terms of "environmental protection, energy saving and clean"; it also implement the strategic policy of "scale and quality", taking full advantages of Baosteel's successful experience accumulated over past 30 years in the process of construction from introduction, digestion, absorption, innovation and reforger, the equipment and technology reaches advanced level in many aspects. It is reported, the completion of No. 1 converter and No. 2 converter will be at the end of December, 2015, after that, the completion of No. 3 converter will be at the end of September, 2016.
Mr. Zhao Zhouli, Vice-general manager of Baosteel Group, Board Chairperson of Baosteel Zhanjiang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., Project General Director of Baosteel Zhanjiang steel-making plant; Moreover, the representatives from Baosteel Engineering & Technology Group and China Metallurgical Construction 17th Group Co., Ltd., from the other engineering companies and construction companies concerned and other related representatives attended the groundbreaking ceremony. The representatives from above-mentioned companies presented on the ceremony said that they were willing to carry forward the philosophy of by taking proactive attitude to the difficulties, with strict management, advanced technology, high quality, by adhering to the principles of scientific way in construction, normative method in operation, by following standardized requirements in the job-site, making the steel-making plant into a high quality project with reliable quality and high accuracy.
In order to ensure the completion of steel-making plant to catch up with the time schedule, the project team of Zhanjiang steel-making plant stated that they were likely to make full and close cooperation with the related working staff to push forward the construction of steel-making project in modes of continuous, orderly, high efficient way, by means of powerful work ethos, deeply rooted pragmatic approach, scientific working methods, highly strict in working attitude, succeeded in finishing the honourable tasks undertaken, that is, to build Zhanjiang steel-making plant into a truely so-called Dream-Works with international competitiveness.
