ArcelorMittal LáZaro CáRdenas Has Start New Operation Line for Slabs

ArcelorMittal Lázaro Cárdenas, Mexico, has start new operation line for slabs which will be used in pipelines that transport sour gas.

The steel slabs must present very stringent technical specifications, including a high resistance against hydrogeninduced cracking (HIC) carbon dioxide (CO2), or similar contaminants.

In order to increase its share of the growing API pipes market, best technological practices were implemented for the site to be able to produce defect-free slabs.

Thus, ArcelorMittal Mexico can meet all the requirements of its world-leading customer, Welspun Corp in India and coils plate Ternium in Mexico.
