Recently, Baosteel self-developed DR K product was welcomed in the market and achieved stable batch supply in the first 7 months of the year, with the output reaching over 6300 tons. The product fill the domestic gap and pass the certification of many world-famous packaging material enterprises at the moment.
Baosteel DR K products are faced with many challenges: not only to satisfy the steel plate thinning requirements of customers, but also to meet the standards of high strength and high corrosion resistance under the condition of thinning steel plate. Therefore, Cold Rolled Sheet Plant, Manufacturing Department, Central Research Institute, Product Development Department, and Sheet Sales Department,etc.of Baosteel Co., Ltd. constituted trans-department team for collaborative production, marketing and research, and launched the thinning R&D plan for DR K in 2010 with the customers. Through solving the key problems of the consistent performance control and plate threading ability, etc., Baosteel masterthe Process technology for producing DR K. One year after the project launched, the products succeed in trail production and are gradually marketed.
After persistent market development and customer exploitation, the output of Baosteel DR K products have been constantly spiraling and achieve stable batch supply in the overall market downturn of tinplate in the first 7 months of this year.
