UK-based independent printer Headley Brothers has replaced two older web presses with a new Goss M-600 press to maximize quality and provide flexible service for its customers.
The four-unit M-600 press, which will complement existing web presses and sheetfed presses with reel-to-sheet capabilities, , has been chosen to ensure minimal makeready times and waste.
A Goss Ecocool drying system with fully integrated chill rolls has also been specified to better efficiency through increased production speed and to maximize print quality without ink picking.
Headley Brothers managing director Roger Pitt said the new web press is a good investment as the company operates a policy of continuous investment in the latest equipment and technologies, to ensure continued services to its customers.
"The Goss M-600 press model has earned a worldwide reputation for delivering premium print quality, reliability and versatility, and will enable us to maintain the high levels of efficiency and flexibility that we provide to our customers in the production of their magazines," Pitt said.
The new M-600 press, which went into production in early November 2012, is specifically designed to deliver print, color and production efficiencies, according to the company.
