Australia-Based Vistaprint Opening a Trade Printing Service

Australia-based Vistaprint is opening a trade printing service, 'TradeAdvantage,' which will deliver about 120 products like print and promotional products, signage and apparel.

Speaking about the advantage of the initiative for printers to ProPrint, Vistaprint Australia, New Zealand and Japan vice president Paul Heath said: "It means they have access to a huge range of products, not only traditional print such as business cards, brochures and flyers, but also apparel, promotional and photo products, and signage, all at great prices.

"It will open up new markets for printers with zero investment for them. Margins could easily be 50 per cent or more up to 200 per cent."

Printers signing up for TradeAdvantage before 31 October will be given a 50% discount on products like business cards and flyers. The company will also provide discounts on its retail prices and offer tiered discounts based on its average monthly order levels.

The service will enable printing companies to order products at any time of the day through the website that comprises more than 10,000 design templates and accepts artwork. Printers will also be able to show their products to customers through online proofing.

"Vistaprint will produce very small runs, down to one, which will make it economical for printers to work with their smaller customers".

The company has developed a white label print portal and white label packaging which will deliver to printers or customers in three, five or ten days.

The company which operates from its Deer Park facility in Melbourne uses manroland 700 and HP Indigo presses.
