Loughborough-based power technology company Intelligent Energy Holdings has signed a multi-million pound agreement with a Japanese volume automotive Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to expand its reach further into Japan's fuel cell vehicle market.
Intelligent Energy Holdings has extended its agreement for further two-years, and it will focus on the development of the company's fuel cell engine technology that Intelligent Energy Holdings plans to include in cars, two wheelers and low emission vehicles.
IE provides fuel cell engine technology in 2kw- 100kw to two Japanese OMEs presently.
Intelligent Energy CEO Dr. Henri Winand said: "It is always important to work in an industry for some years when working with any partner, and that is even more so in Japan: thankfully, we have worked with Japanese car manufacturers for more than seven years."
