Borusan Mannesmann Boru (BMB), the biggest pipe producer in Turkey has been turning to a new page by kick off its new 250,000 metric tons/year spiral welded pipe mill in Gemlik.
Meanwhile, the company’s 60-year-old pipe mill in Izmit was consequently closed this month.
The new mill is located nearby Borusan Port and its products range cover up to X80 grade spiral welded line pipe, 20-64 inches in diameter, 25.4mm thick and 24.5 meters long.
The location and the status of Gemlik bring advantages in terms of inbound and outbound logistical costs, as well as efficiency improvement in inventory management for the new mill.
