Russian auto firm Gaz Group has unveiled its YaMZ-530 Euro-4 engines at the 11 international specialized engine show, Engine China, that was held from 12-14 September 2013 in Beijing.
The line includes a four cylinder YaMZ-534 engine and a six cylinder YaMZ-536 engine, which are ideal for buses and trucks.
YaMZ-530 is a new family of in-line medium-duty 4- and 6-cylinder diesel engines from 120HP to 320HP conforming to Euro-4 with potential upgrade to Euro-5 and Euro-6.
YaMZ-530 engines use advanced engineering solutions in engine arrangement, control, main systems operation enhancing reliability and effectiveness.
GAZ Group president and CEO Bo Andersson said that GAZ Group's participation in the international show in China generated high interest on the part of local automakers.
"During preparation for the show we received requests from a number of large Chinese companies for negotiations on application of our new engines," Andersson added.
"YaMZ-530 engines have advantages in terms of power and torque as compared to most engines of the same type made abroad and in Russia, but at the same time YaMZ-530 engines have lower fuel consumption. Low cost of the engines with modern design ensures their high competitiveness both in Russia and abroad."
According to the company, YaMZ-530 engines comply not only with international engineering standards, but also with Euro-4 environmental standard used in large Chinese cities.
