US-based natural food firm Bear Naked has launched the new Granola-based Real Nut energy bars in four flavors including Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter, Maple Nut and Almond Cranberry.
Made with natural, minimally processed ingredients free of hydrogenated oils, high-fructose corn syrup and artificial preservatives, all the flavours being offered comprise simple ingredients that include protein, such as whole grain oats, honey, almonds and peanut butter.
Bear Naked marketing director Andy Shripka said: "With as much as nine grams of protein, the Real Nut Energy Bars provide energy to help keep you fueled and ready to devour every second of summer.
"They're also backpack-friendly -- a necessity as you take advantage of the warmer weather and sneak in any last-minute adventures."
In February, the company launched a new Honey Almond Protein flavor of its granola.
The bars are on sale online at BearNaked.com and at retailers nationwide.
