Mikawaya, a Japanese pastries and desserts manufacturer, has unveiled Mikawaya Exottics Ice Cream, a new line of gourmet ice cream.
Mikawaya Exottics Ice Cream, which builds on the success of Mikawaya Mochi Ice Cream, brings in a new line of frozen products inspired by Asian cuisine and fruits.
It is offered in pints, ice cream bars, ice cream sandwiches and 3.6oz cups as well as in in 5-quart pails and 3-gallon tubs for the food service trade.
To be available in local Asian markets and restaurants, the range comprises about 14 Asian-influenced flavors, including Black Sesame, Green Tea Matcha, Lychee, Taro, and Yuzu Sorbet.
Mikawaya USA president Joel Friedman said: "We want to offer our loyal consumers the traditional taste of home in our selected flavor line-up of authentic Asian-influenced flavors."
