Nestlé Zimbabwe is planning to modernise its milk-drying tower, as part of strengthening its business in the country.
As told to News Day, Nestle's regional manager Ben Ndiaye said: "In 2015 the major project will be the upgrade of milk-drying tower.
"From 2011 Nestle' invested $30 million in the upgrade of production capacity of the Cerevita and Cerelac plant and operating efficiencies for the whole factory.
"Capacity is largely dependent on local consumer demand our plan is also to look beyond and exploit the neighbouring countries such as Malawi and Zambia."
Declining to disclose the cost of the project, Ndiaye said that it is crucial to invest in manufacturing, brand building and nutrition health and wellness ambition during difficult business times.
Ben Ndiaye replaced Kumbirayi Katsande as the regional manager for Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi in September 2014.
In January this year, Nestle announced plans to invest about $137.93m in Egypt over the next few years.
