Starting March 2015 BMW 2 Series Coupe will get new entry-level engines, further four-wheel drive model and additional equipment option.
For the first time BMW 218i Coupe will feature a three-cylinder petrol engine with TwinPower Turbo technology that will be help the vehicle generate 136 hp and 220 Nm of torque along with combined fuel consumption of 5.6 - 5.1 litres.
With the new engine the car will be able to accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 8.8 seconds and attain top sped of is 212 km/h.
According to BMW the new three cylinder engine shows vibration behavior parallels to BMW's straight six-cylinder power unit.
The German car maker is also planning introduce BMW xDrive to the 220d Coupe.
Customers will be provided with an option to combine their car engines with the 8-speed Steptronic transmission, which will come as standard in the BMW 220d xDrive Coupe and BMW 225d Coupe.
With the 8-speed Steptronic transmission, the BMW 218i Coupe will get fuel consumption combined of 5.5 and CO2 emission of 129 grams.
BMW is also planning to introduce BMW xDrive as an as an alternative to rear-wheel drive for the 220d Coupe which is likely to optimized traction and improve vehicle stability of the vehicle.
From 2015 the company will offer a choice of four models as alternatives to the basic version to the BMW 2 Series Coupe.
