Ford Has Announced That It Will Invest $129m in Its Louisville Assembly Plant

Ford has announced that it will invest $129m in its Louisville Assembly Plant to fast track the production of its 2015 Lincon MKC.

The car maker will also be hiring 300 new employees to complete the production of the upcoming MCK, which is the second car of the four Lincoln vehicles set to be introduced by 2016.

At the Louisville Assembly Plant the company has appointed a two person team to ensure that the functional elements and craftsmanship is perfected in the vehicles.

The first MKC variant will be a small premium utility vehicle and will feature efficient all-EcoBoost engine with premium amenities and technologies to make the driving experience better.

Louisville Assembly Plant manager Daryl Sykes said: "Lincoln MKC is an important part of Lincoln as it attracts a new luxury customer."

"To have the opportunity to build an all-new vehicle - the first small utility ever from Lincoln - is very exciting for the hardworking men and women at Louisville Assembly Plant."
