Quintain Steel Raises All Its Wire Rod Prices on Feb 25th

Quintain Steel, one of the major wire rod producers in Taiwan, announced to raise all its wire rod prices on Feb 25th. Affected by the raw material markup and NT dollar depreciation, the company finally decided to hike prices by nearly US$35/ton.

After the adjustment, the company’s prices for blast furnace (BF) and electric furnace (EF) Al-killed wire rods increased to US$840/ton and US$810/ton. And the prices for Rimmed and blast furnace (BF) killed wire rods increased to around US$775/ton and US$740/ton.

However, Yieh Hsing, another major wire rod producers in Taiwan, will announce new prices on Feb 27th. According to understanding, it is expected that Yieh Hsing will increase its prices but might not be as high as Quintain's offer.
