The German machinery and plant manufacturer Robert Bürkle ended up missing its revenue forecast for 2012 by €2m. The forecast was issued in spring 2012 and confirmed in August. The group achieved turnover of €92m rather than its goal of €94m, a 4 % decrease compared with the previous year. Bürkle missed its original revenue forecasts for 2011 by an even wider margin. The company scaled back its target of €110m announced at the start of the year to €105m in August 2011; however, turnover ultimately ended up being lower than €100m again. Nonetheless, turnover was much higher than the figures of €63m in 2009 and €90m in 2010. The group has yet to replicate its current record of €114.8m set in 2008.
