CSC Starts to Operate Its No.6 Blast Furnace in China Dragon Steel's Plant on March 5

China Steel Corp (CSC), Taiwan's largest steel maker, starts to operate its No. 6 blast furnace in China Dragon Steel’s (CDS, affiliate company of CSC) plant on March 5. 

This new blast furnace is designed for producing 2,500,000 MT of molten iron per year. It will raise the total output and bring the CSC into the World top 20 largest-scale steel company.

Regarding to CDS’s mini mill’s production, it is reported that after CDS overcame few equipment issues last year, their output of I-beam, billet for steel reinforcing bar, billet for wire and sheet will boost to 1,080,000 MT per year.

The blast furnace is located in Taichung city, Taiwan.
