Ford is recalling about 83,250 vehicles due to issues with the halfshaft retention circlip.
The affected vehicles includes 2012-2014 models of Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX, along with 2013-2014 models of Ford Flex, Taurus, Lincoln MKS and MKT.
The halfshaft retention circlip in the affected vehicles might not be installed properly which could disengage while driving, cutting the power from the wheels and possibly lead to a crash.
Apart from that, if the driver does not use the parking brake before exiting the vehicle then there is a chance that it will roll away causing injury to the passengers and those on the way of the vehicle.
The company will notify the owners and dealers. The halfshaft of the affected vehicles will be replaced for free.
