The German kitchen manufacturer Alno is apparently planning to take over the brand rights and sales activities of up to three other kitchen furniture producers. The affected company’s production sites are not to be part of the transactions. According to a report in Euro am Sonntag, Alno CEO Max Müller and CFO Ipek Demirtas released information to this effect in a public presentation in the middle of March. Two acquisitions are to be completed in the short term, while another is to close in the next few months, according to the report. Alno said on enquiry that the company strategy would in principle focus on organic growth. However, he company would not rule out small to medium-sized acquisitions in order to round off or add to its portfolio. Alno said it was in fact looking at such options at the moment. It would not disclose whether the companies it was interested in were German or international companies.
