Usiminas Planned to Stop The Operation and It Will Not Affect The Company's Business

Reportedly, Brazilian steelmaker Usinas Siderúrgicas de Minas Gerais SA (Usiminas) planned to stop the operation in Cubatão facility and it will not affect the company’s business.

Currently, Usiminas has eight continuous casters included four in the Ipatinga unit and four in Cubatão.

Meanwhile, the company is considered to idle an additional one from Cubatão in order to reduce costs and increase competitiveness.

It will make the company’s financial structure more health for 2013.
