Sony announced on Monday that it will be release a Firefox OS phone in 2014. Previously, LG and Huawei announced that they will launch a smartphone using the Firefox OS operating platform.
Sony said, Telefonica will provide Sony Xperia Z and Xperia Tablet Z in some of the world market. In addition, the two companies will also invest "to explore the possibility of developing phones using Firefox OS platform".
Sony is the fifth manufacturer which supports the Firefox OS platform mobile phone s, following ZTE, Alcatel, LG and Huawei.
