Japanese commercial vehicle manufacturer Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus, a subsidiary of Daimler has secured an order for 641 trucks in Malaysia and Australia.
The order includes 466 medium-duty Fuso Fighter trucks for Malaysian waste disposal company Southern Waste Management (SWM) and 185 light-duty Fuso Canter trucks for the StarTrack freight and logistics services in Australia.
Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus (MFTBC) senior vice president of sales and after sales Kai-Uwe Seidenfuss said: "With large orders like these we are sustainably reinforcing our export business in important markets like Malaysia and Australia."
The company expects to reach the target of selling 200,000 commercial vehicles per year under 'FUSO 2015' growth plans with the order.
SWM was founded in 1995 and operates with about 474 Fuso vehicles under it, while the StarTrack was found in 2011 owns and operates the Fuso Canter Eco Hybrid commercial trucks.
