Cadillac has unveiled the 2016 CTS-V, a luxury car which the company claims to be the most powerful product in the brand.
The car will be powered by 6.2L supercharged V-8 engine with 1.7L supercharger capable of producing 640 horsepower and pump 630 lb-ft of torque.
CTS-V will be capable of attaining the top speed of 200 mph which is more than the capability of its predecessors.
The V-8 engine is assisted by paddle-shift eight-speed automatic transmission with launch control and Performance Algorithm Shifting.
The car features strengthened rocker bulkhead, upper tie bar-to-bumper braces, and V-braces for the engine compartment.
Cadillac has used 114.6-inch wheelbase which is similar to the CTS non-V-Series models and the wheels are 45% stiffer than its predecessor, the company said.
The car also features Brembo high-performance brake system to provide durability and consistency, Magnetic Ride Control, Integrated chassis controls for balanced performance, and Pilot Super Sport tires.
CTS-V is equipped with advanced safety technologies which includes front curb-view camera system, side blind zone alert, automatic parking assist, lane keep assist, forward collision alert, and rear cross traffic alert.
Cadillac president Johan de Nysschen said: "V-Series represents the very best of the Cadillac brand - the pinnacle of our design and technical capabilities."
"The new CTS-V is the most compelling example of Cadillac's product substance and brand trajectory. The new CTS-V soars into the stratosphere of the most exhilarating luxury cars."
