Chrysler is recalling around 26,000 units of its 2015 variant of Chrysler 200 sedans due to technical issues that causes the car to roll away after it fails to properly park.
According to reports, the affected vehicles equipped with 3.6-liter V6 engine.
Slash Gear cited Chrysler as saying that in the affected cars' shifter might indicate that it is in park when actually it is shut off, and the company has advised drivers to engage the parking brake before shutting off the car.
According to reports, the problem has occurred due to "inconsistent assembly procedures at a supplier's plant".
However, no crash or injury have been recorded due to the issue, and Chrysler considered the issue after it received five complaints from five Chrysler 200 sedans owners who could not get their cars to shift into park.
Most of the affected vehicles are in the US and the company is expected to resolve the issue for free.
