Health Canada has suspended the Establishment Licence of Chemi Pharmaceutical of Mississauga, Ontaria, Canada, after noticing inaccurate testing results during an inspection.
Health Canada has also started enquiring the company's customers regarding the ways and means used by it in testing a product.
According to Health Canada's enquiry, the company has conducted only partial tests for the products before they entered the Canadian market.
As a precautionary step, the companies that have tested their products by Chemi Pharmaceutical were directed by Health Canada to temporarily stop selling the products till receiving clearance.
As on 6 December 2012, Health Canada had asked 8 companies to stop sale of their respective products that went through testing in Chemi Pharmaceutical.
