American foodservice company Golden State Foods (GSF) has signed a Management Services Agreement (MSA) with Guangzhou OSI Food, to control and manage the plant in Guangzhou, China, which produces vegetables, fruits and nut products.
Under the terms of the deal, the GSF team will take over the 100% control and management of the Guangzhou OSI plant
The plant will continue to be dedicated to delivering safe, quality products that meet both clients' and China's regulatory requirements.
Golden State Foods is a major supplier to the quick service restaurant (QSR) industry. It services more than 125,000 restaurants in 60 countries from five continents.
Its core businesses include processing of liquid products, dairy, produce, meat, and full-line distribution services.
Golden State Foods chairman and chief executive officer Mark Wetterau said: "We're accessing GSF's global resources and those of its partners to provide outstanding quality with assured supply to the Chinese market."
Golden State also runs others processing plants in Sydney, Australia as well as in Perth, Australia and in Auckland, New Zealand.
Recently, GSF acquired New Zealand's retail produce company, Snap Fresh Foods.
