Integrated specialty paper company Twin Rivers Paper has announced the release of a new compostable and recyclable paper Acadia Natural, which is made from unbleached pulp and is ideal for food packaging.
Acadia Natural is FDA-compliant for direct and indirect food contact and offers a natural substrate for packaging applications such as fast-food sandwich wraps, french fry and carry-out bags and basket liners.
According to the company, the green paper offers the optimal solution for applications including Quick Serve Restaurant (QSR), food service, and retail food.
Acadia Natural is available in an Acadia Natural OGR version, for oil and grease resistance. The products bring good printability, runnability and convertability to packaging applications.
