The Laminate Protects The Label From Damage by Chemical Substances or Mechanical Abrasion

German provider of pharmaceutical labeling solutions Schreiner MediPharm has developed a new laser film label for marking dental carpules. Designed for use with dental carpules’ narrow diameters that are usually about five millimeters, the label can be marked with variable data such as batch numbers or expiration dates.

According to the company, the new label is based on Color Laser Film (CLF), which features a thin composition and flexible structure suited for application to tiny syringe carpules and is marked using a laser.

A transparent laminate layer is penetrated by the laser's beam that exposes the color reference layer without producing harmful emissions. The laminate protects the label from damage by chemical substances or mechanical abrasion by enhancing the level of resistance and permanent legibility.

The CLF label adheres to dental carpules, provides dentists with reliable information regarding the composition of the material and simplifies pre-filling preparation.

Schreiner MediPharm US president Gene Dul said dental carpules present a challenging surface to mark in a field that demands precision and accuracy.

"Our new Color Laser Film labels can help dentists be more efficient while contributing to patient safety," Dul added.
