Thintech Materials Sent Samples of Solar Products for Certification

Thintech Materials, Taiwan's largest supplier of aluminum target material with a market share of over 50%, has revealed that it has sent samples of its aluminum and silver-aluminum conductive pastes for solar products for certification.

Thintech plans to enter the solar conductive paste market and has been shipping materials in small volume to solar cell maker Neo Solar Power (NSP). NSP owns 12.18% of Thintech shares.

Thintech, a subsidiary of Taiwan-based China Steel Corporation, is about to debut on the OTC stock market in Taiwan. The firm said it plans to expand its product lines to include molybdenum, copper, and titanium target material while strengthening its heavy metal recycling business.

Thintech currently provides silver, silver alloy, and aluminum target material for the TFT and optical disc industries. In particular, Thintech's aluminum target material takes over 50% of market share among Taiwan-based TFT LCD makers, according to the company.
