On November 21, the two mascots, named " Zhuangzhuang " and " Meimei ", for the Palace Museum debuted in Beijing for the first time.
Feng Hui Ren, the director of the Cultural Service Center of the Palace Museum said that the Palace Museum was the first one to own mascots and he hoped " Zhuangzhuang " and " Meimei " could become cultural products with a strong "celebrity effect" that can make Chinese culture accepted by the wolrd.
