Ancient City of Milan: Important Town on Ancient 'Silk Road'

Photo taken on Oct 14, 2015 shows ruins of the ancient city of Milan, some 80 kilometers to the east of Qarilik (Ruoqiang) county, Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. Milan, laying on the south of Taklimakan Desert, was an important town on the ancient "Silk Road", and was recorded in the narrative of Xuan Zang's pilgrimage to India in the Tang Dynasty (618-907).
