According to the MCPRC (Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China), a series of cultural events on the theme, "Fantastic Art China", will make their debut as the national brand in the Big Apple in 2015.
Sponsored by the MCPRC with the Central Academy of Fine Art as the co-sponsor, the activities will be divided into four parts: "Public Art Show", "Innovative Art Show", "Light Show in the Empire State Building" and "New Year Fireworks Show".
The shows, from Feb 18 to 24, will be held in places such as the Empire State Building, the American Museum of Natural History and No. 84 Wharf on the Hudson River, with Lincoln Center as the core area.
To create a carnival atmosphere in New York during Chinese Spring Festival, these events will bring together the best minds of art to provide the audience with a feast for the eyes.
Against the backdrop of economic globalization, cultural exchanges between the East and the West have become increasingly frequent. To promote Chinese fine art on the world stage, the MCPRC has made joint efforts with other relative departments to organize many cultural events overseas. Foreign friends can also know the real China by participating in a variety of interesting activities. "Fantastic Art China" has been held four times before and in 2014 there was wide coverage in 321 cities in over 112 countries and regions.
