China is now 4th in the list of countries with largest number of emigrants, according to a new report by the US think tank Pew Research Center. The number of Chinese emigrants has grown from 4.1m in 1990, when the country was ranked 7th, to 9.2m. India tops the list with 14.2m emigrants, followed by Mexicao (13.2m) and Russia (10.8m). The US remains the most popular destination, with one-in-five emigrans now living in the US.
