The Toll Group Has Teamed with Cycling Advocacy Group to Help Improve Cyclist Safety

The Toll Group has teamed with cycling advocacy group the Amy Gillett Foundation to help improve cyclist safety on Australian roads.

The national partnership will initially see 14 co-branded trucks display road safety messages across the country, and will also see Toll share the knowledge of its professional drivers with other road users during the coming months.

Toll Group managing director Brian Kruger said it was Toll’s role to help educate all road users to share the road more safely.

“Safety is a core value at Toll, and the safety of our people, any contractors working for us, and the communities in which we operate is something I am passionate about,” Mr Kruger said.

Amy Gillett Foundation CEO Tracey Gaudry said the new partnership would demonstrate a united front between two key road user groups promoting the need to share the road safely.

“Safety is a critical element for all road users, and this partnership shows that whether you’re riding a bicycle or driving a car or truck, the responsibility for safety is a shared one,” Ms Gaudry said.

Mr Kruger said the partnership includes sharing the safety-first driving knowledge of Toll’s professional drivers.

“Toll employs some of the best professional drivers in the country, and we want to work with key partners such as the AGF to share experiences and learn from each other about how to make the road safer.”
