'fire Walking' Ceremony Held in E China Village

A man walks through burning charcoal as he participates in the traditional ritual "Lianhuo", or "fire walking", in Pan'an county, East China's Zhejiang province on Oct 21, 2015. Local people held the ceremony to show respects to ancestors on the Double Ninth Festival. "Fire walking" is a traditional activity in the village, which has been listed in the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the province. Performers are barefoot on the charcoal fire and agitate the fire during the performance.
