China Has The World's Longest Hsr Network with Over 16000 Km of Track in Service

China has the world's longest HSR network with over 16,000 km of track in service as of December 2014, which is more than the rest of the world's high speed rail tracks combined. China's high speed rail system also includes the world's longest line, the 2,298 km Beijing–Guangzhou High-Speed Railway.

During the summer season, travelers, including students and families, choose high-speed rail for traveling. The growing railway network has stitched China's scenic spots together.

It's reported that about 80% of respondents said they prefer to travel by train. These respondents are mainly parents, students and teachers. And the number of travelers booking high-speed rail tours has grown rapidly in the recent years.

The report said that travel routes along the railway would be the moost popular ones during summer and winter vacation.
