PRG Also Supplied a Supplied a Dramatic 25m Wide X 4 M High LED Screen on The Stage

UK-On Sunday 8th July 2012,Battersea Power Station changed colour from red to green as it hosted 2,000 people attending the Nike+FuelFest-a huge party rewarding the most active everyday athletes who have taken part in Nike events so far this year.

Each energetic guest wore a Nike+FuelBand.The wristbands measured the audience's movement-the more they moved the more NikeFuel they earned.As the crowd danced to Tinie Tempah,Magnetic Man and Zane Lowe,the energy produced from their NikeFuel was used to light the exterior of Battersea Power Station from red to green.The event concept and design was created by Will Mould,managing director of Slice.

PRG's John McEvoy,Dan Burgess and Mick Jones supplied the lighting,rigging and video package for James Owers,production manager at Ronin Productions.

The partygoers entered through a 50m long tunnel,clad by 480 Barco MiSTRIP on either side,fed by a Hippotizer Media Server to created a pulsing effect to mimic the Nike's FuelBand.The entrance area revealed two huge 2m high x 27m long curved projection screens behind the bars,each fed with 4 x 10k Panasonic projectors,which were soft edge blended.PRG also supplied a supplied a dramatic 25m wide x 4 m high,15mm pitch ground supported curved LED screen on the stage and an additional 4 m wide x 2m high hi-resolution NX6 6mm screen to sit in front of the DJ Booth.

There were a number of content feeds from various different suppliers and performers.Attention was required to ensure that the two screens on stage were pixel mapped and that the bar screens were blended.PRG used a 5-Processor Barco Encore system and a number of matrices to distribute and control feeds.This element was programmed by Rob Scott.

For the lighting,PRG contacted LD and programmer Danny Evans from Spirit Design to design a system for the stage lighting and dance area as well as feature lighting to the entire venue and to light the rear chimneys.The central section between the existing and new marquees had a clear roof so the attendees could see the rear of the power station.In response,PRG supplied 4 x Bad Boys-2 per chimney.

The lighting rig comprised of 32 x Clay Paky Alpha Spot HPE 300,24 x SGM Palco LED Wash,24 x Pixelline LED Batten,8 x Clay Paky Sharpy and 8 x PRG Bad Boys,creating a spectacular night club environment.

Control was supplied by Danny Evans at Spirit Design using Avolites Pearl Expert&Tiger Touch consoles.

"With the project coming to PRG at short notice,we needed to ensure that all elements were covered and that all disciplines were working in unison.Mick Jones stepped into the role of overall on site Project Manager and was the central point of contact to the client for all services,"says the company.
