According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in December last year Turkey's chrome ore exports amounted to 185,000 metric tons, falling 25.1 percent compared to November and down 3.4 percent compared to the same month of 2011. Meanwhile, in December the revenue generated by Turkey's chrome ore exports totaled $35.7 million, decreasing 23.8 percent month on month and down 4.9 percent on year-on-year basis.
Meanwhile, in 2012 Turkey's chrome ore exports decreased by 1.4 percent to 2.13 million metric tons, while the revenue for these exports stood at $419 million, down by 10 percent, both compared to 2011. On the other hand, Turkey's manganese ore exports in 2012 totaled 118,500 mt, rising 19 percent, while the country's nickel ore exports fell 22.25 percent to 294,100 mt, both compared to the previous year.
