Export Quantity in November Was 3,518 Thousand Tonne up by 16.4%

The Ministry of Finance of Japan released on 19th statistics on steel export and import(preliminary)in November,2012.According to this,export quantity in November was 3,518 thousand tonne up by 16.4%from the previous month,and also up 4.7%from the same month last year.Its export amount in yen was 261.6 billion,down 4.3%from the same month last year.While,import quantity in November was 681 t/t,down 10.9%from the previous month,and also down 10.6%from the same month last year both of which decreased by two figure percentages.

By destination of export in November,export to Asia was 2,814 thousand tonne up 19.4%from the same month last year.Out of these,that to China was 442 thousand tonne,down 12.0%ditto which decreased for 3 months in a row from the previous month.That to the Asian NIEs was 1,023 thousand tonne up 5.3%ditto and that to the ASEAN was 1,156 thousand tonne largely up 62.5%ditto.

By destination to the remote countries/areas,export to Middle East was 157 thousand tonne up 34.2%ditto,and that to Russia stayed at 12 thousand tonne down 73.4%ditto.That to the USA was 140 thousand tonne down 22.3%ditto which dipped below 200 thousand tonne for 2 months in a row,and that to the EU was 26 thousand tonne,up 18.5%ditto.

While,by country/area of import in November,import from Asia was 558 thousand tonne down 12.2%from the same month last year.Out of these,that from China was 134 thousand tonne up 36.1%while it decreased by 2.2%from the previous month.That from the Asian NIEs was 399.6 thousand tonne down 19.1%ditto,and that from the ASEAN was 9.1 thousand tonne,down 68.4%ditto.That from the USA was 1.7 thousand tonne up 16.2%ditto,and that from the EU was 11.0 thousand tonne,down 8.2%ditto.
