It’s reported that Turkey’s imports of stainless steel coils totaled 29,072 tons in January, decreasing by 8.5% year on year while rising by 9% from a month ago, according to statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
The country’s import revenues generated by stainless steel coils amounted to US$73.3 million in January, decreasing by 15.2% year on year while rising by 8.7% from the previous month.
In January, Taiwan was the largest exporter of stainless steel coils to Turkey with 7,382 tons; Germany was the second largest one with 3,122 tons and Finland was the third largest one with 2,655 tons.
In 2012, Turkey’s imports of stainless steel coils amounted to 355,540 tons, increasing by 0.8% year on year.
