The China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) has stated that in late February (Feb. 21-28) this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China totaled 1.7323 million mt, up 0.8 percent compared to mid-February (Feb. 11-20). In late February, the average aggregate daily crude steel production of all steelmakers in China was estimated at 2.0342 million mt, indicating an increase of 1.4 percent compared with mid-February and reaching the highest level since June 2012.
According to the previous figures from the CISA, in mid-February (Feb.11-20) this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China totaled 1.719 million mt, up 1.01 percent compared to early February (Feb.1-10). In mid-February, the average aggregate daily crude steel production of all steelmakers in China was estimated at 2.006 million mt, indicating a rise of 0.9 percent compared with early February.
