Hyundai Rotem Company Has Clinched a USD 353 Million Order to Supply Railcars to Egypt

Yonhap reported that Hyundai Rotem Company, a South Korean tank and train maker, has clinched a USD 353 million order to supply railcars to Egypt.

Hyundai Rotem said that the order was placed by the National Authority for Tunnels, which is responsible for building metro systems and road tunnels in Egypt. The railcars will be delivered, beginning in early 2015.

The South Korean company said that it secured a separate USD 502 million deal to supply railcars to the government owned Hong Kong Mass Transit Railway Corporation. The railcars will be delivered beginning in late 2015.
According to the company, the latest contracts raised Hyundai Rotem's overseas deals this year to 1.7 trillion won.
