Japan's Steel Producers Produced Crudes Stainless Steel in January,Rising by 15.5%

According to data, the 7 major stainless steel producers in Japan produced 312,856 tons of crudes stainless steel in January, rising by 15.5% from a month ago.


In January, Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation (NSSMC) Yawata Works produced 109,249 tons of crude stainless steel, soaring by 65.6% month on month and hitting the highest level since 2011.


Besides, JFE Steel produced 61,259 tons, down by 26%; Nippon Steel & Sumikin Stainless (NSSC) produced 42,553 tons, rising by 7%; Nisshin Steel produced 47,562 tons, increasing by 14%, all compared to those in a month ago.


Meanwhile, Nippon Yakin Kogyo produced 23,631 tons, remaining flat; Nippon Metal Industry produced 13,748 tons, down by 3%, both compared to a month ago.
